General Elections: Brown-Burke, Robinson retain St Andrew seats
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The People’s National Party’s (PNP) Angela Brown-Burke has retained the St Andrew South Western seat in the 2025 General Election, based on preliminary results.
Brown-Burke tallied 8,575 votes while the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) Moureen Lorne secured 583 votes.
In 2020, Brown-Burke defeated Lorne with a majority 91.79 per cent of 7,665 votes cast.
In the meantime, the PNP’s Julian Robinson also retained his St Andrew South Eastern seat with 5,418 votes, defeating JLP’s Kevin Frith who secured 3,137 votes. United Independents’ Congress’ Kemoy Lynch secured 34 votes.
In 2020, Robinson defeated JLP’s Kari Douglas with 57.43 per cent of 7,850 votes casted.
