General Elections: Bunting wins in Manchester Southern
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The People’s National Party’s (PNP) Peter Bunting has won the Manchester Southern seat in the 2025 General Election, based on preliminary results.
Bunting tallied 8,573 votes while the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) Ian Ives secured 7,903. Karen Scott of the Jamaica Progressive Party secured 21 votes.
With the win, Bunting flipped Manchester Southern for the PNP, which lost the seat in the 2020 General Election to the JLP’s Robert Chin.
In that same election, Bunting contested the Manchester Central seat but lost to Rhoda Crawford of the JLP.

Meanwhile, in St Elizabeth North Western, the JLP’s Andrew Morris secured 5,555 votes to defeat the PNP’s Patricia Scarlett-Forrester. The JPP’s Jason Edwards secured 39 votes.
