General Elections: Shaw flips St Thomas Eastern for PNP

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The People’s National Party’s (PNP) Yvonne Shaw has won the St Thomas Eastern seat in the 2025 General Election, based on preliminary results.

Shaw tallied 7,356 votes while the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) Michelle Charles secured 6,937 of the votes.  Jovian Blair of the Jamaica Progressive Party secured 31 votes,  and Claudius Wong of the INDA secured 46 votes.

With the win, Shaw flipped the seat for the PNP,  which lost the seat in the 2020 General Election.
