General Elections: Williams and Terrelonge hold on to St Andrew Eastern, St Catherine East Central seats
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) Fayval Williams has won the St Andrew Eastern seat in the 2025 General Election, based on preliminary results.
Williams tallied 6,824 votes while the People’s National Party’s (PNP) Patricia Duncan Sutherland secured 6,386 votes.
With the win, Fayval held St Andrew for the JLP, which had won the seat in the 2020 General Election with 6,972 votes to the PNP’s then candidate Venesha Phillips who got 4,730 votes.
Meanwhile, in St Catherine East Central, the JLP’s Alando Terrelonge retained his seat, securing 6,364 votes in comparison to the 5,379 votes secured by the PNP’s Raymond Pryce.
In 2020, Terrelonge had defeated Pryce with a majority 59.39 per cent of 10,732 votes casted.
