Neighbourly support as smooth start to voting in St James Central

ST JAMES, Jamaica — Things have gotten off to a smooth start in the St James Central constituency so far.

For neighbours Loretta Allen and Melford Grant of Paradise Rowe in the western city, things got off smoothly.

“He doesn’t see so well and so I swear and help him,” Allen said referring to her help towards Grant.

Both senior citizens exited the polling station at Cornwall College just minutes after the elections were declared open.

They have since returned home.

So far things have been proceeding smoothly as individuals wait patiently to cast their vote for either Heroy Clarke or the Jamaica Labour Party or Janice Allen of the People’s National Party.
