Pengadon unveils The New World Order
Dancehall artiste Pengadon released his debut EP The New World Order on June 17. The 17-track project was executive produced by Dunrich Music.
The New World Order is a fusion of dancehall and reggae songs with mainstream appeal.
“I don’t limit myself. I will always find new hits, new styles and flows. My motivation to succeed comes from the pain and poverty I have endured throughout my life. I know hunger, so music has given me a chance to express my thoughts. My fans have also given me the love and support that keeps me going,” Pengadon disclosed.
Pengadon, whose real name is Romario Mitchell, has dedicated his craft to making timeless music with unmoving effect.
“The power of music helps to send a message to the youths and the society about what is actually taking place in the real world. Music is used to express your emotions and it can help others in healing their pain, which has a positive and lasting impact,” he reasoned.
According to Pengadon, the EP was strategically crafted to showcase his vocal talent and songwriting skills.
“It’s time to show the people how talented Pengadon is, that’s the reason why me and my manager Billy Trail decided to release the EP.”
The deejay, who was born in St Ann and raised in St Elizabeth, says his clever lyrics and melodies are the ideal blueprint for international success.
“I want my voice to be heard. The quality of music that I do is Billboard worthy, and I would like to hit the chart one day,” said the 23-year-old.
He has plans to be the breadwinner in his family and to be a role model within his community. While he has no regrets about his choice of pursuing music as a career, he is also excited about his future in music.
“The best thing about being an artiste for me is that I’m able to express myself without limitation. I love music to the extent that I even dream about it. Music is my euphoria,” he said.
