SCOTT Dunn, conceptualiser of party series Yush, is pleased with the turnout at Wednesday's staging of the retro party.

“The turnout was great and the vibe was amazing!,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

Yush was held at Sabina Park in Kingston.

Dunn is also the managing director of Dream Entertainment, organisers of the annual Dream Weekend summer party series in Negril.

According to the conceptualiser, Yush has been growing since its inception in 2003.

“We generally don't change much. We just try to improve the patron experience each time. Our bars were big and the music was on point,” he said.

“Yush has a very simple tagline: No Long Talking. Yush is about dancing and drinking. Any other element tends to be a distraction,” he continued.

With the increase of retro parties on the local scene, how does Yush differentiate itself?

“Yush is a party that plays the best music of the 90s and early 2000s, but the look and feel of the event tends to be very modern,” he added.
