21-year-old killed, 17-year-old brother on the run

Police are seeking a 17-year-old youth after his 21-year-old brother was stabbed to death this morning.

The incident took place in the community of Tawes Pen in Spanish Town, St Catherine.

The dead man has been identified as Alex Brissett, a resident of the community. Police have declined to release the suspect’s name but are asking him to turn himself in.

It is reported that sometime after 11:00 Saturday morning, Brissett and his brother had a dispute. The police said during the dispute, a knife was used to stab Brissett, who collapsed.

He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Following initial investigations, police launched a manhunt for the 17-year-old youth.
