3.5 magnitude earthquake rattles Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — The Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies, Mona is reporting that an earthquake rattled sections of Manchester on Friday morning.
The Unit says the 3.5 magnitude quake occurred about 5:40 am with its epicentre located close to Christiana.
It had a focal depth of 20.1 kilometres.
It was reportedly felt in Mandeville and in the Manchester/ Clarendon bordering town of Spalding.
There were no reports of infrastructure damage resulting from the earthquake according to disaster personnel in Manchester.
