46 new COVID-19 cases, one death reported
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Ministry of Health and Wellness reported 46 new COVID-19 cases and one death on Monday, September 26, bringing the infection total to 151,752 and total deaths to 3,312.
The new cases comprise 26 females and 20 males, with ages ranging from two years to 94 years.
The cases were recorded in St James (13), Westmoreland (11), Hanover (four), St Catherine (four), Clarendon (three), Kingston and St Andrew (three), St Ann (three), Trelawny (three), Manchester (one) and Portland (one).
The deceased is a 61-year-old male from Portland.
There were 111 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 99,042.
Currently, 66 people are hospitalised, 17 of whom are moderately ill, two severely ill and one in critical condition.
Jamaica’s positivity rate for the latest round of testing is 17.9 per cent.
