#Champs2023: 16 qualifiers set for Class 2 Girls 400m semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A total of 16 athletes have safely punched their tickets to the semi-finals of the Class 2 Girls 400m at the ISSA/Grace Kennedy Champs at the National Stadium in Kingston on Tuesday.
Leading the pack is Sabrina Dockery of Lacovia High, who recorded a time of 55.29 seconds to win heat four. Alaina Spence of York Castle finished second in 57.09 seconds.
Holmwood Technical’s Rosalee Gallimore clocked 55.70 seconds to take heat two. She crossed the line ahead of Hydel High’s Aaliyah Mullings (56.56).
The other winners in the event were Jody-Ann Daley, also of Hydel High, Mickayla Sutherland of Manchester High (57.07), St Catherine High’s Kitania Headley (56.07) and Camio White of Holmwood High (56.48).
The 16 athletes will compete in the semis on Wednesday at 10:21 am.
