KINGSTON, Jamaica - Hydel High’s Oneika McAnnuff retained her Girls' Open 400m hurdles title on Friday’s fourth day of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys' and Girls' Athletics Championships at the National Stadium running a personal best 56.46 seconds.

McAnnuff who was the fourth straight runner from Hydel High to win the event, ran under her previous best of 57.68 seconds set last year and came from behind to beat Edwin Allen’s Tonyan Beckford who led over the last hurdle and took the silver with 57.14 seconds.

It was McAnnuff’s second medal of the championships after she was second in the Class 1 400m on Thursday.

Hydel’s Alliah Baker was third with 58.37 seconds.
