Clarendon man charged with murder over stabbing death of woman
CLARENDON, Jamaica — A man who was detained last Friday, has been charged with murder after the woman with whom he had a dispute died in hospital on Sunday.
Charged is 60-year-old Winston Reid, a farmer from King Street in Lionel Town.
It was reported that around 2:00 pm last Friday, an argument developed between Winston Reid and the deceased, Yvonne Reid over the painting of a wall along Young Street in Lionel Town.
Police said the dispute got physical, during which a knife was used to stab the woman several times in her upper body. She was rushed to the Lionel Town Hospital, and then transferred to the May Pen Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The incident happened in Lionel Town in Clarendon, where both parties resided.

Winston Reid was taken into custody the day of the incident. He was charged following a question and answer session on Thursday.
