KINGSTON, Jamaica- A man has been charged with murder and illegal possession of firearm following an incident on Belvedere Crescent in Kingston on December 21, 2022.
Charged is 27-year-old David McKenzie, otherwise called ‘Devil Man’, a mason of March Pen Road, Spanish Town in St Catherine.
McKenzie was charged with the murder of 29-year-old Marvin Lindsay, otherwise called ‘Peas Head’ of Belvedere Crescent in the parish.
Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that about 6:15 pm, McKenzie and Lindsay were having a conversation with another man when it is alleged that McKenzie pulled a firearm and opened gunfire at Lindsay killing him. McKenzie and the other man escaped in a motorcar.
A report was made to the police and an investigation commenced. McKenzie was subsequently arrested and on Tuesday, March 21, he was charged.
The police have since launched a manhunt for McKenzie’s co-accused.
