Expect increased cloudiness, showers starting Tuesday – Met office

The Meteorological Service of Jamaica says a trough is producing a large area of unstable weather across the western Caribbean, including Jamaica, and is expected to linger at least for the rest of the week.

“Expect an increase in cloudiness with associated showers and thunderstorms across the island beginning today as a result,” the Met office said in its 5am forecast Tuesday.

He forecast for Tuesday morning, afternoon and night is mostly cloudy with periods of showers and thunderstorms across the island.

The conditions are expected to remain for at least up to Friday.

The weather forecast will likely be welcomed by most Jamaicans amid the current hot spell and drought conditions on the island.
