Former Cayman premier Bush denies charges of indecent assault
GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands (CMC) – Former premier of Cayman Islands, McKeeva Bush has denied indecent assault allegations made against him by two women.
The veteran politician and former speaker of the House, who was granted bail, pleaded not guilty to two counts of indecent assault when he appeared in court on Friday.
The trial is scheduled for September 11.
The charges stem from allegations that in September 2022, Bush behaved inappropriately with two female government employees during a cocktail reception at the Ritz-Carlton hotel, where the tourism ministry was hosting a Caribbean Tourism Organization conference.
