‘He had his reasons’, says Texas school shooter’s mom
TEXAS, United States – The mother of Uvalde school shooter Salvador Ramos said her son “had his reasons” for carrying out one of the deadliest mass shootings in modern history.
Ramos, who massacred 19 children and two teachers at an elementary school in Texas, had warned in online messages minutes before the attack that he had shot his grandmother and was going to shoot up a school, the governor said Wednesday.

According to an article from CNN, Adriana Martinez asked the families of the 21 victims for forgiveness even as she urged people not to judge her son for what he did.
“I have no words, I have no words to say, I don’t know what he was thinking. He had his reasons for doing what he did and please don’t judge him. I only want the innocent children who died to forgive me,” Martinez told CNN affiliate Televisa.
Describing her son as “quiet”, Martinez said Ramos was “himself and didn’t bother anyone.”
“He was very quiet. He was himself. He didn’t bother anyone — he didn’t do anything to anyone,” she said.
His grandfather, who also spoke to CNN, said he knows the shooting has affected many families, some of whom are his friends and persons he will have to face someday.
CNN said Reyes’ wife was Ramos’ first victim as the troubled teen shot his grandmother in the face at their home before driving to the Robb Elementary School where he killed 21 people.
