Jamaica finish last in Netball Fast5 World Series
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls finished at the foot of the points table as the Fast5 Netball World Series ended in Christchurch, New Zealand on Sunday morning (Jamaican time), losing all the games they contested.
After losing all three games on the first day of the two-day event, Jamaica were beaten by England and host New Zealand then again by Uganda in the play-offs for fifth and sixth places.
Australia won their first Fast5 title, beating South Africa 34-20 in the final while New Zealand, the outgoing champions took third place after beating England 39-25 in the bronze medal game.
On the second day, Jamaica lost to England 32-27 and the lost to New Zealand 40-22 and then 32-10 in the playoff with the African debutantes.
