The Jamaica Tallawahs defeated the Barbados Royals by eight wickets on Friday to win the 2022 Caribbean Premier League.

The pre-finals favourites Royals went 161/7 in their allotted 20 overs. The Tallawahs, in response, surpassed that total with 23 balls to spare.

It is the Tallawahs third time lifting the CPL trophy following triumphs in the inaugural 2013 season and again in 2016.
