Man killed, jerk chicken vendor injured in separate gun attacks in Annotto Bay

ST MARY, Jamaica - The police are keeping a close watch on Crooked River in Annotto Bay, St Mary after two men were shot, one fatally, during separate shooting incidents on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Sean Cousins.

He was killed minutes after a jerk chicken vendor was shot in the lower body while attending to customers.

That shooting occurred sometime after 11:00 pm.

Information reaching OBSERVER ONLINE is that the vendor was pounced upon by an armed man, who opened gunfire hitting him in the lower body.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he was admitted for treatment.

Minutes later gunmen struck in another section of Crooked River, shooting Cousins several times.

He was pronounced dead at hospital.

The police are probing both incidents to establish whether they are connected.
