#PennRelays: Eight Jamaican teams into 4x100m COA final
PHILADELPHIA, United States – Eight of the nine teams in Saturday’s Boys’ 4x100m Championships of Americas final at the 126 th Penn Relays are from Jamaica. This after Friday’s first round at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
The Jamaican contingency includes defending champions Calabar High and Camperdown High who led all qualifiers with 40.96 seconds. ISSA Champs Class 1 winners Jamaica College (41.20 seconds), St Jago (41.06 seconds), St Elizabeth Technical (41.48 seconds), St Catherine ( 41.78 seconds) Excelsior High (41.84 seconds) and Herbert Morrison (41.90 seconds) are all into the COA final.
Calvert Hall College of Maryland are the only non-Jamaican team in the final.
Kingston College had withdrawn from the event earlier on Friday.
