TRELAWNY, Jamaica- Prime Minister Andrew Holness handed over 35 one-bedroom units that form part of the Windsor Hills housing development in Spicy Hill, Trelawny, on Wednesday afternoon.
Some 42 service lots were also handed over during the ceremony.
The 77 solutions are the first phase of the 195 Windsor Hills housing development.
"The National Housing Trust is developing 195 housing solutions at Windsor Hill. However, this afternoon we are handing over 77 solutions, comprising 42 service lots and 35 one-bedroom units," the prime minister said.
"In phase two, we will hand over 118 service lots. And I'm hopeful that that will be very soon. Of the 77 housing solutions being handed over this afternoon, nine are reserved for public sector workers and persons with disabilities," he added.
Holness noted that the 77 beneficiaries are drawn from across a broad spectrum of low to middle income workers.
