Policeman shot and injured in Westmoreland

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica— A police constable was reportedly shot and injured in Little London, Westmoreland on Wednesday.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear at the moment, but OBSERVER ONLINE understands that the constable was shot by two men who were travelling on a motorcycle.

He was later assisted to the hospital where he has been admitted in stable condition.

The injured officer is assigned to the Norwood Zone of Special Operations (ZOSO) in St James.

The Little London Police is investigating.
