St Catherine South cops increase presence for Easter weekend
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – The St Catherine South police have increased the joint military operations across the division as part of the surge of operational activities taking place across the island.
Police teams conducted targeted raids and roadblock operations in the Portmore municipality and Old Harbour from early Thursday evening into Friday night.
Operations Officer, Superintendent Hopton Nicholson, is urging residents in the division to work with the police.
“Increased joint military operations will continue throughout the coming days. We are asking citizens and visitors in the St Catherine South division to cooperate with members of the security forces as we pursue wanted men and implement strategies aimed at denying criminals opportunities to commit crimes,” he said.
He revealed that the heightened activities would continue throughout the Easter weekend.
