Two men charged following gun attack in St Catherine

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – The police have arrested and charged two men with wounding with intent, being in possession of a prohibited weapon and using a prohibited weapon to commit a scheduled offence following an incident on East Bay Drive, Old Harbour Bay, St Catherine.

Charged are George Murray, otherwise called ‘Dunce’, and Damion Muirhead, otherwise called ‘Sunny T’, both of Terminal Road, Old Harbour in the parish.

Reports from the Portmore police are that about 6:15 pm, the complainant was walking along the roadway when he was allegedly pounced upon by both accused, who opened gunfire hitting him multiple times.

He was assisted to the hospital, where he was treated.

On May 28 Murray and Muirhead were arrested during an operation in the parish and subsequently charged.
