WATCH: Fuming taxi operator questions ticketing system
MAY PEN, Clarendon — Cleveland Bryan, a taxi operator who plies the route from May Pen to Old Harbour, was left bewildered when he was presented with a whopping 168 outstanding tickets- most of which he claimed had already ben paid for.
Bryan and colleagues were at the May Pen Parish Court seeking to settle their outstanding traffic tickets before the February 1 deadline.

“Ticket weh we already pay for print out and it nuh mek nuh sense we pay for ticket two times or three times,” a visibly upset Bryan told OBSERVER ONLINE.
“Dem system need to be checked properly caah we pay for the ticket and then the same ticket that we pay for it print out. We want fe know how fe guh about the one dem weh don’t pay for,” the taxi operator continued.
“2020 me nuh suppose fe have ticket from dem time deh. Me nave no outstanding ticket from 2020, none at all.Dem need fe check out dem system and then get back to the public!”
The more punitive new Road Traffic Act will come into effect on Wednesday, February 1.
