JDF student pilot performs emergency landing in St CatherineWednesday, June 09, 2021
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica— The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) says one of its student pilots had to perform a precautionary landing in the Hill Run area of St Catherine today, but was uninjured.
The JDF said the pilot was taken to Up Park Camp for a full evaluation and he is stable with no apparent physical injuries.
''He is being given the appropriate medical support,'' the JDF said in a statement a short while ago.
The statement also noted that an initial investigation of the aircraft has revealed no significant damage.
''The JDF continues to exercise best practices in aviation and will be conducting the appropriate safety investigation to determine the cause and remedies to prevent a recurrence,'' it added.
