Man remanded over vicious knife attack on girlfriendWednesday, June 09, 2021
CLARK'S TOWN, Trelawny — Thirty-four-year-old Anthony Bailey, who is charged with attempted murder in connection with the vicious knife attack on his 23-year-old girlfriend Stephina Ralston, was remanded in custody when he appeared in the Trelawny Parish Court in Clark's Town earlier today.
The presiding judge stood down the matter after being informed that Bailey's attorney was in attendance at the Trelawny Circuit Court in Duncans and would not be able to make it.
Reports are that Ralston was attacked and stabbed mercilessly, allegedly by Bailey in a shop at New Road in Warsop, Trelawny, moments before the start of the nightly curfew on April 15.
Bailey, who was subsequently arrested and charged with attempted murder, first appeared in the Trelawny Parish Court in Clark's Town last week and was remanded.
Ralston, who was not in court today, but was afterwards spotted on the compound, has reiterated her decision to drop charges against her "partner".
