Man stabbed to death in Amity Hall

ST JAMES, Jamaica — The police are reporting that a 25-year-ol man was stabbed to death by unknown assailants on Saturday night in Black Shop district, Amity Hall, St James.

The dead man has been identified as Demar Barrett of Potosi district in the parish.

Reports are that about 10:15 pm, Barrett was walking along the roadway in the company of a female when they were pounced upon by men armed with knives.

Barrett was stabbed several times and the police were alerted. He was subsequently taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the female escaped unhurt.
