'Strappie' charged with wounding, shooting with intentTuesday, June 15, 2021
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica— Twenty-year-old Ravine Campbell otherwise called 'Strappie,' has been charged with wounding with intent and shooting with intent, following an incident along Ricketts Street in Westmoreland on Thursday, June 10.
The police said that two men were on a motorcycle along the roadway about 1:50 pm, when they were approached by four men also travelling on motorcycles.
The men drove up to them and opened gunfire hitting one of the men.
He was assisted to the hospital. The other man escaped unharmed.
The police said that Campbell was arrested later that day following a targeted operation.
He was subsequently charged after a question and answer interview in the presence of two Justices of the Peace.
