ST JAMES, Jamaica — The police say two men were arrested and charged with lottery scamming offences during an operation in St James today.
They are 24-year-old Bryan Pryce and 20-year-old Navar Gayle, both recording artistes of Ducketts Road, Cambridge in the parish.
They have been charged with possession of identity information with intent, and possession of access devices.
It was earlier reported that members of the Anti-Lottery Scamming Taskforce carried out a special operation in the area which resulted in the seizure of two firearms and 175 rounds of ammunition.
The police said two cellular phones and a notebook belonging to Pryce and Gayle were analysed and found to contain identity information of people residing overseas. They were subsequently arrested.
In addition, the police said an adjacent open lot was searched which led to the recovery of two Taurus 9mm pistols along with two magazines containing 33 rounds and a plastic bottle containing 132 rounds.
