KINGSTON, Jamaica — The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Gold Project at the University of the West Indies Mona, in Jamaica, has been renamed the UWI/JFF Capt Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence in honour of the late Jamaica Football Federation president.
This was announced a short while ago at a press conference at the UWI campus.
The UWI and the JFF started this agreement in 2008 with the establishment of the centre at the Mona Campus.
Burrell died earlier this month in Florida after a battle with cancer.
His funeral service is set for this Wednesday at The National Arena in Kingston.
