Expect isolated showers across eastern parishes on Monday morning; other areas will be partly cloudy, while it is predicted to be windy along the south coast, according to the Meteorological Service of Jamaica.
In the afternoon, the forecast is that there will be isolated showers and thunderstorms mainly across hilly areas and western parishes, while it will be partly cloudy elsewhere and windy across southern parishes.
The forecast for Monday night is partly cloudy and windy along the south coast.
The maximum temperature expected for Kingston is 35 degrees Celsius, while Montego Bay is expected to hit a high of 34 degrees. A Small Craft Warning remains in effect for inshore and offshore areas of the south coast due to strong winds and rough seas.
Jamaica is expected to experience a weak high pressure ridge and a low-level jet stream - a narrow band of fast flowing wind in the lower levels of the atmosphere - which will remain across the island over the next few days.
A tropical wave is also expected to move into the vicinity of the island by Tuesday.
