God bless Jamaica!
Dear Editor,
Since we opened our International School of Greatness (ISG) in Jamaica almost a decade ago we have been quite impressed and impacted by the resilience of the approximately 2.8 million people on this beautiful and blessed island.
We have been fortunate to support the profitability of small and large enterprises in the private and public sectors and worked with many leaders in different corporations, communities, institutions, and the Government, like Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
We have helped to generate over $1 billion for the economy through our programmes and are also fortunate enough to offer over US$100,000 in scholarships to develop the leadership and entrepreneurial capabilities of some disadvantaged youth to reignite the greatness of Clarendon.
Considering how far Jamaica has come since the first Africans arrived as slaves to the Spanish settlers, there is no doubt that Jamaicans are a people of absolute resolve and admirable resilience.
The nation of Jamaica is a global brand, and the potential of this nation goes way beyond the sun and sand for which millions of tourists visit the island.
Under the extraordinary leadership of our dear friend and strategic partner, Dr Marlene Street Forrest, the Jamaica Stock Exchange is now a veritable financial force to be reckoned with regionally and globally.
Therefore, as Jamaica celebrates her 60th year of Independence from British colonisation under the theme ‘Re-igniting a Nation for Greatness’, we appreciate the impact of this small but mighty nation on the global stage.
As one of the few nations in the western hemisphere that still recognises the sovereignty of God, we pray in the words of your national anthem that our eternal Father may bless your land, guard you all with His mighty hand, keep you all free from evil powers, and be your light through countless hours.
Indeed, out of many, one people!
International School of Greatness
