Why only one bank?

Dear Editor,

Why is there only one commercial bank in the roll-out of Jamaica’s central bank digital currency (CBDC) JAM-DEX. It should be all banks.

All this creates is a bottleneck or rush on National Commercial Bank (NCB).

Why not make all banks have a wallet. Isn’t that just common sense.

And we wonder why people are stressed in this country.

It just seems that, once again, Jamaica can’t do anything right.
