Accused on run almost two years after double murder
ST ANN, Jamaica — The St Ann police are appealing to the public to assist in the capturing of the four most wanted men in the parish.
Topping the list is Brian Forbes, also called QQ, who is wanted for the double murder of 24-year-old Demar Smith, also called Chumpy, a bus conductor of Drumilly, and his girlfriend 15-year-old Amoya Brown, of Good Hope in Clarendon.
Forbes reportedly got into an argument with Smith, who was his neighbour, about noise disturbances. A machete was brought into play and both Smith and Brown were wounded.
Senior Superintendent of Police Gary Francis said that a number of operations have been carried out in an attempt to nab Forbes; however, the police has other elements working against them.
Francis appealed to people “who feel it OK to protect criminal elements, to desist from doing so.”
Last year the police offered a $200,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Forbes.
Also wanted are Dwayne Christie, also called Cojack, who is wanted for a murder committed in the Cave Valley area on September 30, 2016; Christopher Brown, who is wanted for shooting and wounding with intent and illegal possession of firearm in Steer Town in September, 2016; and Shawn Anthony Moscow who is wanted for wounding and shooting with intent in Hampstead, Runaway Bay in December 2016.
