Flemmings banks on work ethic to make mark on int'l sceneMonday, February 22, 2016
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Former Jamaica College standout Junior Flemmings believes his work ethic and consistency will be key during his one-year stint at New York Red Bulls (NYRB).
Flemmings is reportedly now working with the club's USL squad, NYRB II, as part of a process of acclimatizing and getting his fitness levels up.
The 20-year-old was the top scorer in the 2014 Manning Cup season, and captained the Jamaica College team that won three major schoolboy titles.
Flemmings went on to represent his home club Tivoli Gardens in the Red Stripe Premier League, and was highly recommended for an overseas stint.
"It is a great feeling to know that I have made the transition from local football to the international scene. But now it is all about performance and hard work," he told OBSERVER ONLINE from his New York base on Monday.
The fleet-footed attacker will contest his first game on March 26against Tornoto.
