Teen's body found in St Mary riverMonday, January 26, 2015
The St Mary police are now investigating the death of another child in the parish after the body of a 14-year-old girl was discovered in Enfield, Annotto Bay Monday morning.
Tishauna Henry, a student of the Annotto Bay High School, reportedly went to the Dry River to wash on Sunday, January 25.
When she did not return home, family members went in search of her and a report was made to the police when she was not found.
On Monday morning residents, along with the Annotto Bay police, continued searching for the teenager. Her body was discovered lying face down in the river among rocks. Observations of the body revealed that there was a wound to the right side of the head.
The St Mary police say they are now awaiting a post- mortem to determine the cause of death.
Henry is the second of two children found dead in less than a week in the parish. The police are also awaiting the post-mortem to determine the cause of death of Crystal Coleman, whose body was found at her home in Frontier Heights, Port Maria last Wednesday.
The child's father is being questioned in relation to that matter.
