Clarendon cops find 23 stolen goats in CaldinaMonday, August 06, 2018
THE Clarendon police recovered 23 stolen goats that were being transported in a car along the Hayes main road on Saturday.
About 5:30 pm, a team of officers signalled the driver of a Toyota Caldina motor car to stop. He obeyed, but then ran off into a nearby community. The goats were recovered and the other occupant in the car was arrested and charged in connection with the seizure.
Charged with larceny of goat is 29-year-old Derron Taylor of Hollywood Road, Phase II in Hayes, Clarendon.
The police are asking the driver of the motor vehicle to turn himself in to the nearest police station.
Meanwhile, people who have had their goats stolen are being asked to contact the Hayes Police at 986-5130, or visit the station.
