Police name Jamaica’s most wanted men
THE Police High Command yesterday named five men it said are “violence producers” wanted for murders and other serious crimes.
They are: Charles Hamilton, otherwise called “Tuggy Tuggy”, who operates in St Mary; Ryan Peterkin, otherwise called “Ratty”, who operates in St James; Kniko Walters, otherwise called “Speckles”, who operates in Clarendon; Davion Brown, otherwise called “Balti”, who operates in Westmoreland; and Shaniel Lutan, who operates in St James.
Hamilton was found guilty on July 27, 2016 for illegal possession of firearm and shooting with intent, and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. However, he escaped police custody and is yet to be recaptured. His known locations are Love Lane in Annotto Bay, St Mary, and Hermitage Dam Road in Stony Hill, St Andrew.
Peterkin is wanted for murder and shooting committed in the St James and Hanover police divisions in 2016. The police allege that he is also involved in lottery scamming activities in the Cambridge area of St James. He is from Retrieve District, Mother Lane in Cambridge, St James.
Walters, 22, is wanted for shooting with intent, which was allegedly committed against the police. He is said to be aligned to the Red Square Gang. His last known address is on Sevens Road in May Pen, Clarendon, but he is believed to frequent Long Gully, Buzz Rock-Line, May Pen township, Juno Crescent, Bailey’s Avenue, Bucks Common, Chapleton, Canaan Heights, and Race Course.
Brown is wanted for murder committed at Great George Street, Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland. He is also listed as a person of interest in three other murders and one shooting incident. He is said to be from New Market Oval, Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland and Sterling District, Grange Hill, also in Westmoreland.
Lutan is wanted for a double murder committed in 2012 and escaping custody on November 30, 2015. He was previously charged with the offence of larceny from the person and was convicted on November 8, 2007 in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court in St James. He was sentenced to two years’ probation. He is believed to be from Farm Heights in Montego Bay, St James.
