‘Wi likkle but wi tallawah!’
Jamaican-American attorney Alison Smith, who was installed last month as the first black woman president of the nearly 100-year-old Broward County Bar Association, Florida, chose a courtesy call on Jamaica’s Consul General to Miami R Oliver Mair as her first official function Tuesday.
Mair, in expressing pride on behalf of Jamaica in her achievement, said: “We are so proud of our Jamaicans who continue to excel globally. Today we extend our heartiest congratulations to Alison Smith for her stellar achievement. She has proven once again that wi lickle but wi tallawah!”
