Skylark Resort stages second Film NightsThursday, November 14, 2019
The projection lights came on for the second staging of Skylark Film Nights with six short films and two feature films over two nights at Skylark Resort on Negril's famous seven-mile white sand beach last weekend.
The Jamaican written and directed films lit up the screen on the beach last Friday and Saturday with guests getting the opportunity to view the critically acclaimed and award-winning short film Flight, and feature film Sprinter, as well as feature film No Place Like Home, which was effectively lost for over 25 years.
Other short films on the bill were Mango Wars, Sugar, Origins, Parish Bull and Cleaning House.
The festival is a collaboration with film-maker Gareth Cobran and Skylark Resort, and is designed to provide an avenue to showcase Jamaican film talent.
