PARIS, France – Jamaican rising sprint star Kishane Thompson underwent an extensive training session under the watchful eyes of his coach Stephen Francis here on Wednesday, ahead of Saturday’s start of the men’s 100m competition at the Olympic Games.

Thompson, who is the fastest man in the world this year with a time of 9.77 seconds, is highly-favoured to win his first global title at the event.

Another Jamaican sprinter, Oblique Seville, who finished fourth at last year’s World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, also trained on Wednesday under the watchful eyes of his coach Glen Mills. Seville is the second fastest Jamaican this year with his time of 9.82.
