The Style Issue, November 10, 2022

Basketball player-turned-fashion model Saiyan Marley, son of Cedella Marley and grandson of music legend Bob Marley, has landed his second feature in

Marley, who is shaping up to be a trailblazer in the fashion industry, was featured in the mag's November 2022 issue for a spread titled "Firecracker". In the feature he talks about his court-to-runway transition as well as his famous family lineage.

"I am a basketball player at heart, but in my senior year of high school, I suffered a career-ending injury, which made me pretty sad. While I was injured, I felt like I had nothing to do, so my mom told me I should get into modelling. I was like, why not? A couple months later, in New York, I was at one of my brother's [Skip Marley] photo shoots, and I met with the Marilyn Agency. They saw me, we talked, and the rest is history," he shared.

Meanwhile, Jamaican-born New York-based jewellery designer Matthew "Mateo" Harris, who helms the luxury brand Mateo New York, is getting his fair share of highlights in GQ as well. American-Zimbabwean actress Danai Gurira, best known for her starring role as Michonne on the AMC horror drama series The Walking Dead and now Wakanda Forever, graced GQ's November 2022 issue wearing Mateo's East West Pink Topaz Ring.

Plus, New York-based Saint International model Winston Lawrence lends his charm to the Connor McKnight Spring/Summer 2023 collection. The campaign was shot in Brooklyn by New York-based photographer Elliott Jerome Brown Jr.
