TUCKER, St James — Corinaldi Avenue Primary and Barracks Road Primary completed the semi-finals of the St James Football Association/Victoria Mutual Foundation Uplift Under-13 on Wednesday after quarter-final wins over Catherine Hall Primary and Montego Bay Prep, respectively, at WesPow Park.
Corinaldi Avenue beat Catherine Hall Primary 3-1, while aided by two own goals, Barracks Road Primary came from a goal down to beat Montego Bay Prep 4-2. The victors will join other quarter-final winners Green Pond Primary and Flankers Primary in the semi-finals set for June 6, also at WesPow Park.
Shevaun Brown scored a double for Corinaldi Avenue, both coming in the first six minutes of the game, as the two-time champions — who last won in 1994 — got off to a fast start.
Jayden Smith then added a third in the 59th minute to complete the win.
