Much at stake for four Tier II teams
LLANDILO, Westmoreland — The semi-final fates of four teams will be in the balance today when the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Tier II play-offs continue with two rescheduled first-round games.
Toll Gate FC and Los Perfectos, both on three points in Group C, will meet at the Toll Gate Community Centre. Also on today, Harmony FC and Tuscany Warriors will meet at the Llandilo Sports Complex in a Group D game.
The games were originally set to be played in the first round, but were pushed back and will be played before the final set of games which are now set for Saturday.
Racing United of St Catherine have already secured their place in the semi-finals after beating Seaforth SC in both legs of their Group A games and the race for the next three spots is still undecided.
Three teams are still in the race for the spot from Group D with two points separating them and today’s game between Harmony FC, who are second on goal-difference to Reggae Youths, both on nine points, while Tuscany Warriors are two points back.
Despite being beaten 2-0 by Reggae Youths on Saturday, Tuscany Warriors will go into today’s game with an advantage, playing at home against Harmony FC who they beat 2-0 in their first meeting.
Additionally, with the final game to be played also at the Llandilo Complex, a win for Tuscany Warriors would put them in the driver’s seat for the group title.
