Real MoBay clip Rangers in cross-zone game of WPL
TUCKER, St James — Real MoBay FC scored their first win of the Jamaica Women’s Premier League competition on Saturday after beating Rangers FC 2-1 in their cross-zone game at Wespow Park in Tucker, St James.
It was the first win for either team as both are at the bottom of their respective zones and went into the game with no points, but Real MoBay used the comfort of home field advantage to eke out a slender win with a goal in each half.
The two goals conceded by Rangers FC increased their league-leading goals conceded to 41 from five games — and it was their third goal scored.
Real MoBay fared just a little better, adding to their lone goal scored while conceding their 27th goal.
Alesha McFarlane opening the scoring in the 15th minute for Real MoBay and they added a second in the 57th minute when Daniel Beckford scored.
Shavarie Less pulled one back for Rangers FC in the 87th minute.
