Adam and Eve Day Spa is officially open!

#SpaNEWS

A stone’s throw away from New Kingston, in the heart of St Andrew, a very special passion project of husband-and-wife duo Garth and Kimisha Walker has been developing. Years in the making — with pandemic-related delays — the much-anticipated Adam & Eve Day Spa officially opened on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

The 10,000-square-foot colourful, ultra-mod building at 56 Old Hope Road boasts a whopping 17 treatment rooms, a training facility, and a Zen garden complete with a Rainforest Waterfall spa.

“The journey for us has been good. We’ve been through our tribulations, but what I will say is we are very happy where we are now. We have a dedicated and competent team. We started with 12 staff members at the Constant Spring location. In New Kingston, we grew to 22, and now we’re a 45-member team,” said principal Garth Walker at the launch event.

“I want to list a few first we’ve had in the industry. One, we’re the first to introduce infused rags on entry at a standalone spa. We’re the first to offer complimentary water, juice, coffee, tea, Baileys, and Johnnie Walker for any service, no matter the value. We’re the first to have a fully integrated e-commerce website… the first to introduce what we call the Rainforest massage, the first to introduce staff awards for our team members, and we’re now the first to have a prime minister opening a day spa in Jamaica!” continued Walker.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness as well as Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia “Babsy” Grange; Minister of Justice Delroy Chuck; Member of Parliament for Saint Andrew South Eastern Julian Robinson; Member of Parliament for Kingston East and Port Royal Phillip Paulwell; and councillor for the division and shadow minister, Science, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Dr André Haughton, representing Opposition Leader Mark Golding, lent their support to Walker and his wife and business partner Kimisha.

The Walker duo carefully curated a team of well-being experts, to bring spa offerings to a new level. With Adam & Eve now the city’s premier destination spa for skin, hair, and body care, you can sample its world-class facials and body treatments seven days a week. The signature facial will leave your skin glowing, whilst the 45-minute Rainforest Water Massage relaxes, alleviating aches and pains.

A by-appointment-only basis, you can book a plethora of salon treatments, ranging from a perm and cut to highlights and nail and waxing services. With limited seats in the luxe salon, the focus is always on privacy.
