10 of the most stylish Jamaican athletes heading to Paris

With the Paris Olympics fast approaching and our athletes gearing up to represent the black, green and gold, many of them have caught our eye with not only their fine performances on the track, or in the field, but also with their fashion game on and off it.

Observer Online shares our picks of some of Jamaica’s most stylish athletes who will be heading to Paris.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce

Known for her bold and vibrant hairstyles including colourful designs and unique cuts, Shelly shows off on the track with more than her speed. Off the track she coordinates appropriately and has graced us with many unique and put together looks which she carries with flair. She is off to her final Olympic games to compete in the 100m sprint and 4 x 100m relay.

Stacey-Ann Williams

Quarter-miler Stacey Ann Williams has a style many women envy for the way she pulls it off. She is Olympic bound and many await to see what looks she will bring to Paris.

Jaydon Hibbert

Jaydon Hibbert jumps leaps and bounds in the pit and in his fashion sense. His style is unique and bold, exuding confidence and charisma that only elevates his modern looks. Watch out Paris!

Junelle Bromfield

Junelle Bromfield, who will be competing in the 400 m and the 4 x 400m relay, is somewhat of a fashionista. She attended Milan Fashion week and continues to grace the media with different looks that come together in her distinctive unrepeated wardrobe. She will surely carry this unyielding style to the Paris games.

Navasky Anderson

Preparing to represent Jamaica in the 800m race is Navasky Anderson, who exudes confidence on and off the track. He carries himself with a level of “swagger” enhanced with his style coordination which can be seen through his ever-changing running shades to match his track suits.

Shericka Jackson

Jamaica’s sprint queen Shericka Jackson balances elegance with athletic prowess. She has been seen sporting different sophisticated looks at special events and will surely bring that style to Paris where she will compete in the 100m, 200m and sprint relay.

Ackera Nugent

Ackera Nugent, who will be competing in the 100m hurdles, has a simplistic style that stands out simply by how well she presents it. She carries her fashion sense effortlessly and gracefully just as how she carries herself over hurdles on the track. She will most certainly fit in on the Paris streets.

Romaine Beckford

Romaine Beckford will be representing Jamaica in high jump at the Paris Olympics and has shown that he knows how to dress for different occasions. Whether it be dressed down or in a suit, he carries himself with youthful energy that will be refreshing to see at the upcoming games.

Charokee Young

Quarter-miler Charokee Young is known for rocking full glam on the track, and looking good while doing it. Look out for her colourful nails, vibrant hair and lashes in Paris this summer while competing for Jamaica in the 4x400m mixed relay.

Hansle Parchment

Known for being calm and collected over the hurdles on the track, Olympic champion Hansle Parchment dresses with a similar type of precision as he’s shown a mastery in rocking tailored suits. He’ll be fire on and off the track in Paris.
