GEORGEOWN, Guyana (CMC) – Efforts by the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) to declare the results the recent election suffered another setback Friday night when none of the Opposition-backed election commissioners turned up for the meeting.
According to Sase Gunraj, the commissioner aligned to the People’s Progressive Party Civic, there was no quorum because none of the three other commissioners was present.
